Description:
The diagram shows ammonia production from different energy sources. Renewable energies produce hydrogen (H₂) through electrolysis, while natural gas produces hydrogen via steam methane reforming (SMR) with CO₂ emissions. Nitrogen (N₂) is obtained from air in an air separation unit. Hydrogen and nitrogen are combined in an ammonia plant to form ammonia (NH₃). The ammonia is then stored, shipped, and used for fertilizers, fuel, and power generation.
